Prediction and Control for Building Project Management
With Ziggurat B4uB™, building professionals can identify and resolve system design conflicts before construction begins. B4uB transforms standard CAD drawings into a coordination model that powers generative 3 dimensional modeling, powerful conflict analysis, and project lifecycle management. System Coordinators save valuable time and money— while system designers continue working with their current tools and methodologies.
Centralized Information – the Coordination Model
Ziggurat’s ground-breaking technology automatically transforms 2 dimensional CAD drawings into a coordination model containing all of the systems in the project. All data and specifications are stored in a central information system to enable modeling, analysis, conflict detection, follow-up, and long-term planning.

Realistic 3D Modeling
With Ziggurat B4uB, system coordinators can view a comprehensive 3D model of the entire project based on the 2D design documents. From the convenience of the CAD environment, system coordinators can visualize the various MEP (mechanical, electricity, and plumbing) systems, providing an environment for spatial optimization. Ziggurat’s 3D generative modeling is optimized for system coordination, reducing model file size and enabling remote operation over the web. |

“Build before Build” - Conflict Detection
Ziggurat B4uB Analysis Server analyzes and locates design conflicts between MEP systems, and checks conformance to building codes and standards. Ziggurat’s unique ICO (Intelligent Conflict Optimization™) displays all of the elements of a conflict as a single incident. For example, a conventional clash detection system might display four clash points where a pipe intersects a beam, one at each face. Ziggurat B3D displays only one conflict point— for intuitive evaluation and effective communication to designers. The server flags errors directly on the 3D model and in the original CAD documents, and generates Excel spreadsheets and web-based reports for e-mail distribution.
Seamless Collaboration
Ziggurat B4uB includes a Web collaboration environment that enables each participant in the building process to view the project model from his Web browser. Participants can review the list of conflicts identified in each system, accept or reject them, and document workarounds. With project information clearly displayed and easily accessible, Ziggurat B4uB reduces the need for repeated coordination meetings and exchange of paper drawings.
Project Lifecycle Management
Ziggurat B4uB supports DWG drawing files as well as most BIM and IFC formats. All information is integrated into a central repository that can be updated and maintained throughout the project lifecycle. When an error or conflict is detected, the designer updates his own drawing while Ziggurat B4uB automatically acquires the changes. With B4uB, the coordination process can begin at a much earlier stage— even before designs are completed— and benefit from powerful decision-making support throughout the lifespan of the project.
